Guys, Are We Supposed to Live Here Forever?

Soooooo I finally took a break from work & honestly, idk man, are we supposed to stay in the US para siempre? I visited Puerto Escondido & was fortunate enough to stay at an Airbnb right on top of a hill where I could take in the entire landscape & just sat there in awe. Complete awe. I forget how beautiful life can be, especially when you've got birds chirping & roosters roostering (?) around you lol. Everyone greets you as soon as you enter a store or restaurant. Other customers say “buen provecho,” even though they do not have to & then suddenly, you land back at JFK & no one says hello anymore 🫠

It's also very humbling to be in another country & really recognize how fortunate we actually are. Every time I visit Peru, I kind of judge myself for ever complaining about anything. I get so stressed about having to do laundry or figuring out finances, or what to cook each day, but these are all luxuries that we often take for granted. There are people who have so much less & yet still find joy in their day to day. I think it's important to remember that we will always have stressors of some sort, but our perspective can shape how we actually live our lives.

The moral of the story is: let’s stay present & enjoy the little things ✨

Ngl, I am jet lagged right now pero I wanted to get this published because I am genuinely curious how you guys feel about this. I imagine I'm not the only one who notices these things when they travel. I am gonna try to post this on my IG story so we can chat about it there - please engage! - or maybe there's a way to do something similar right here on the website. I will figure it out, stay tuned!!

The 2nd moral of this story: take a break! Book the trip! Call out of work!

We will be working for a long, long, long time so why not choose to do something else for a short period of time while we are still physically able to do so?

Okay, gracias for reading my Ted Talk. Hasta la proxima!
