No, I work with all BIPOC adults, including those navigating self-esteem issues tied to family dynamics & cultural expectations. My practice has a particular focus on first-generation & Latina individuals, but you don't have to identify a certain way to work with me. If what you've read here resonates, that's enough.

Si! Si prefieres hablar en español o en ingles o Spanglish. As a bilingual therapist serving all of New Jersey, I understand how culture, identity & family expectations can shape your experience with anxiety & depression. Therapy should be culturally responsive & affirming in whichever language feels most like home.

Yes. I accept several major insurance plans through Headway, including Aetna, Anthem, Cigna and Evernorth, Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield, Optum, Oscar Health, Oxford, UnitedHealthcare, & UMR. If you don't see your insurance listed, reach out & we can figure it out together. I also offer a few sliding scale spots for those who qualify.

My self-pay rate is $150 for individual sessions & $200 for couples sessions. If cost is a barrier, please reach out. I want therapy to be accessible & we can talk about options.

CCTP stands for Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. It means I've completed specialized training in trauma treatment beyond my licensure as an LCSW & I bring that trauma-informed approach to every virtual session with clients across New Jersey. In practice it means I understand how trauma lives in the body, how it shows up in everyday patterns & relationships, & how to help you process it safely, not just talk around it.

EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing. It's a research-backed therapy specifically designed for trauma healing. Basically, it helps your brain process painful memories that got "stuck," so they stop hijacking your present. It's particularly effective for people who feel like they've talked about something over & over but it still hits the same way. I am EMDR trained!

Not currently. As a trauma-informed therapist, I offer virtual sessions to adults across New Jersey via telehealth. This means you can access trauma-informed care from anywhere in the state so no commute, no waiting room, no rearranging your whole day.

The best way to find out is a free 15-minute consultation. There is no commitment, no pressure, just a conversation. I'll ask a little about what's bringing you in, you can ask me anything you want & we'll both get a sense of whether this feels like a good fit. Most people know pretty quickly.
-
The first session is really about getting to know each other. I'll ask about what brought you in, a little about your background and history & what you're hoping to get out of therapy. You won't be expected to dive into the deep end right away. We go at your pace. My job in that first session is to make sure you leave feeling heard, not overwhelmed.
-
Yes. I offer couples counseling for partners who are navigating conflict, communication breakdowns, life transitions, or patterns that keep repeating. Sessions are 50+ minutes, held virtually, and available in English or Spanish.

Honestly, it depends on you and what you're working through, how often we meet, and what your goals are. Some people come for a few months to get through a specific transition. Others stay longer because the work goes deeper. I don't believe in keeping people in therapy longer than they need to be & I also don't believe in rushing healing. We'll check in on your progress regularly so you always know where we are.
-
That happens & it doesn't mean therapy can't work for you. It often means the fit wasn't right, or the approach didn't match what you actually needed. A lot of my clients come to me after experiences that felt surface level, too clinical, or like the therapist just didn't get their cultural background or family dynamics. I'd love to talk about what didn't work before so we can make sure this feels different.
